Main Activities
The main activities cover on the areas of Bio-MEMS, Microbiological engineering, molecular drug discovery, biomaterial development, immunotherapy as well as biosensor for medical application. These activities are aiming to find out broad applications including new therapeutics against cancer, new HTS system development, Point of care diagnostics and fuel cell development. To properly perform these activities we have two concerns which are crucial to step forward. The first is interdisciplinary attitude, which can bring us new idea and realize concrete applications with these activities. The group members have very various major including biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, electronics, chemistry and mechanical engineering. And interdisciplinary discussion between teams and individuals is strongly encouraged. The second is interdisciplinary, international collaborations, which can promote not only personal exchange but also developing ideas and improved strategy. So IHB group makes active collaborations with many institutions, universities including Korea university, Saarland university, Norwegian Technology university, Gacheon medical school, Seoul national university, Trinity college, IMEP and KIST Korea.
